Liked the High Altitude Cabernet

So I ordered some High Altitude Cabernet Sauvignon from them, just to try something new. It arrived in about 6 days, no issues there. The wine itself was quite nice, better than what I usually grab from the local store. The whole process was pretty easy, just a few clicks. I'd probably order again if I need more wine.

Good value for Malbec

I was looking for a decent wine club that wouldn't break the bank and saw their introductory offer. I got the Extreme Altitude Malbec bundle. It was a pretty good deal for the quality. Shipping was reasonable and the bottles arrived in good shape. Felt like a solid purchase.

Reliable choice for Argentinian wines

This isn't my first time ordering from Bonner Private Wine; I've been a member of their club for about a year now. I always appreciate how consistent the quality is. This time, I got a curated case with some Domingo Molina Malbec and Sunal Ilogico Malbec. Everything was packed well, as usual, and arrived on time. Their selection of Calchaquí Valley wines is why I keep coming back; it's hard to find these varieties elsewhere with such reliability. They haven't disappointed me yet.

Decent wines, slow shipping sometimes

I got the Altupalka Malbec-Tannat and it was a good wine for the price. The website was easy enough to navigate and find what I wanted. My only real complaint is that shipping took a bit longer than I expected for this order, about 8 days to reach me in California. It wasn't a huge deal since I wasn't in a rush, but it's something they could improve on. The packaging was sturdy though, no broken bottles, which is always a plus. Overall, I'm satisfied with the wine itself.

How's the shipping to NYC? Trying to figure out if I'll get it in time for a party next month if I order soon.

R Rachel Moore 1 week ago
I'm in Brooklyn, and it usually takes about a week to 10 days for me after it ships. They don't ship to every state though, so just double-check that for NY.

Mine took about 8 days to get to me in Queens last time. I'd say you're probably safe for next month if you order now, but they don't do super fast shipping like Amazon Prime, if that's what you're thinking.

Hey, thinking about trying Bonner Private Wine. Are these wines actually hard to find elsewhere? Like, is it worth it if I can just pick up a Malbec at my local store?

I Ian W. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, totally different. They focus on super high-altitude stuff from Argentina, especially the Calchaquí Valley. You won't find most of these brands in a regular liquor store, at least not in my experience. It's more curated than just a random Malbec.

Nah, definitely not your average grocery store wine. They really specialize in that specific region and altitude. It's kind of their whole thing, so the selection is pretty unique. You're paying for access to those specific bottles.

Anyone tried Bonner Private Wine vs. Firstleaf? Curious if the quality is a big step up or just different.

B Brittany Lewis 22 hours ago
I tried both. Firstleaf is more about matching wines to your taste profile from a wider range of regions. Bonner is super focused on specific high-altitude Argentinian wines. If you like that particular style, Bonner is probably better, but Firstleaf has more variety if you're exploring different types.

Different vibes. Firstleaf sends you all sorts of stuff. Bonner is pretty niche, all about those specific Argentinian reds and whites. I'd say Bonner is a step up in terms of unique sourcing and quality if you appreciate that specific profile, but it's not as broad.

I saw some deal mentioned for new members, like over 50% off. Is that something you need a code for, or how does it work?

A Ashley B. 4 weeks ago
Usually, those big intro offers are just through a special link. When you click it, the discount just shows up in your cart or at checkout automatically. I didn't need a code for mine last year.

Sometimes they have actual codes for specific marketing things, but for the main new member deal, it's typically an automatic thing if you land on the right page. Just follow whatever link they send or show on their site.
